Haunted by a rusty start the B-team of the Hamburg Warriors could report their first victory under the lead of their new headcoach Jim Beardmore.
In good weather they were poised to win against Kiel with the final score being 12:4. In spite of a dismal beginning the Black and Yellow were able to gain the lead quickly. By the second half of the fourth quarter boredom was lingering among the defenders.
The good weather attracted quite a few spectators who got their money’s worth. Seemingly delighted by the successes of both the B- and the C-team,
the latter of which upset Goettingen a few hours earlier, Jim could be heard saying a loud “It is good to be us!”. The formula for success might
stem from Jim having persistently explained the benefits of winning to the team.
