Duke won 1st FO…no surprise there..
My;es Jones gets stripped…that IS a surprise…

Kelly with a nice low save…then Duke passed out of bounds…
#16 ND drives through about 50 Duke defensemen…
ND defense is playing hard and aggressive in firs 5 mins…if can keep it up they have a chance…

Walsh with first goal for Duke…Garbage goal…but a G is a G…
ND defense is plaing solid D against Duke…
So far Duke’s Lobb Defense is playing like a siamese twin to Kavanagh…
ND is fighting to get those GBs…

GREAT save by Kelly with 2:00 left in 1st… He and the ND defense are keeping them alive…
Luke Aaron in goal for Duke is actually making some saves.  They all seem to be high..  ND might want to try to shoot low…
Class from Jones good Duke goal…with 8 seconds remaining in the 1st…

To start 2nd ND gets the ball…and unforced TO gives it away…Duke scores but waved off…you can’t give those opportunities to Duke…they WILL capitalize…

ND is putting shortie on Myles, and doubling early with pole…seems to be working well as he hasn’t gotten a good shot or pass off yet.

Duke just wins GBs…
NDs sloppy offense makes Dukes defense look GOOD

Myles Jones finishes for goal #3 for Duke…ND defense slid early with 2 on the ball and no one on Jones

Kavanagh takes it himself and scores…8:05 left in 2nd quarter…
ND only has 3 shots on goal…you can’t win if you don’t shoot…

Nice defense by ND Stephan O’Hara on Myles…
That just frees up Deemer Class for Dukes 4th goal of the game with 6:01 left…
ND’s offense not moving much without the ball..ND needs to have someone else besides Kavanagh step up
Will Haus for Duke just turns on the afterburners and flys coast to coast shoot high stick side and gets by Kelly…Duke up 5-1
With 40 seconds left, Myles asks the ref to call offsides on ND (questionable) and they throw the flag…tough call…

For ND…Kelly has made some great saves, and the defense has kept them in it for ND…
ND’s offense is not doing anything…they seem tired, and waiting for someone else to do it…they are also sloppy with passing…
For Duke, Myles is being held in check, but they are getting good looks on offense…on defense, Aaron is making the saves he needs to…

Duke’s defense showed up today.
Duke survived a late rally by Notre Dame but there was no luck left in the pot for the Irish.
Duke won their 3rd Championship in 5 years in convincing fashion.
